Welcome from the Headteacher

Welcome to
Harrietsham Church of England Primary School

Welcome to Harrietsham Church of England Primary School.  We are a nurturing school and, at our school, the children are at the heart of all of our decisions.  Our school building is modern and vibrant and we aim to create a creative learning environment, with a Christian ethos, in which we believe each of our children will truly flourish.

'Nurtured We Flourish'

Our vision, Nurtured We Flourish, runs through all that we do here at Harrietsham Church of England Primary School.

Our nurturing ethos is popular with children, parents and staff and is at the core of all we do. At our school each child is recognised as an important individual and all of their achievements, in and out of school, are recognised and celebrated.  The warm and knowledgeable relationships that our skilled staff develop with our children and their families are vital to our ethos.  Every child is cared for and valued and all of our children are encouraged to reach their full potential as confident and independent learners.  Our children will leave our school fully prepared, socially and emotionally, to face the challenges of secondary school and life beyond.

Welcome from the Headteacher

Thank you for visiting our website.

I joined Harrietsham Church of England Primary School in April 2024 and I am delighted, and extremely proud, to be the Headteacher of such a nurturing, warm and vibrant school.  We are lucky to have such an experienced and passionate staff team who work so hard to ensure that our children receive the very best education that they possibly can.  As a Church of England Primary School, we aim to provide a broad and balanced education for all the children, underpinned by our Christian Values: Love, Forgiveness and Fellowship, within a happy, stimulating and healthy environment. We have and excellent Governing body, and amazing teachers, teaching assistants, office staff and site managers who all work as a very close team.

I am extremely passionate about every child as an individual enjoying and thriving during their school experience and I believe that this can only happen through a positive and successful partnership with our families. For this reason, we work very hard at Harrietsham to build and maintain links with our families and the wider community.  We encourage feedback and support from our parents, carers and families and extend a welcome to those who are keen to be involved with our amazing school.

At Harrietsham Church of England Primary School, we pride ourselves on our exciting and engaging curriculum which underpins all of the learning that our children participate in. We aim to inspire our pupils to become lifelong learners through a real passion around all of the subjects we teach. With specialist teachers for Music, PE, Nurture and Outdoor Learning, alongside expert subject leaders for Maths, English and Early Years, we aim to deliver the very best learning opportunities for all of our children.

Pastoral Support and Inclusion is at the heart of everything we do at Harrietsham. We have exceptional support for children with additional needs and strive to ensure that they achieve their best outcomes. We have a dedicated team of professionals who work with our children and we use a nurturing approach to support children’s academic and emotional wellbeing to ensure their success in school.

We are a busy but friendly school, with lots going on. This website aims to give you a taster of our school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community.
