Year 3 and 4 Sportshall Athletics
On Tuesday the 21st January, twenty Year 4 children took part in the Sportshall Athletics Competition at The Stour Centre, in Ashford. The children participated in 3 or 4 activities each. These included track events (which included obstacles and relays) as well as field events (such as speed bounce, five strides and chest push). Teams were split into ten boys and ten girls and each score was added to the score sheet and then the girls and boys scores combined.
I am super proud of the Harrietsham team who came 10th out of 18 schools. Well done to the team - they, like myself, should be really proud of themselves for their conduct and sportsmanship throughout the event!
