Welcome to Owls Class.

In Owls class, we are looking forward to an exciting year ahead and have been busy planning activities that we hope will inspire you!

During the year, you will be working with Mrs Stroud as class teacher and Mrs Finch as our class LSA. We know that this will be a year of lots of hard work, but we know that all of you will try your very best! Our aim is to continue to develop your enthusiasm for learning. We hope that over the year, you take more responsibility and ownership over your learning, approaching tasks and challenges with growing resilience and independence.

We will be reinforcing many concepts learnt over previous years and building on them, aiming high! Topics to look forward to include: The Amazing Americas, The Winter Olympics and Exploring the Maya.

We shall be providing various opportunities to develop life skills, team work and independence through a range of activities - including our Residential Trip in the Summer Term - and preparing you all for the challenges which Year 6 will bring (academic or otherwise.) There are lots of exciting things to look forward to!

We look forward to supporting you as you grow in confidence and get ready for your next step into secondary school. Part of this will be taking on additional responsibilities across the school, and setting a positive example of school values to children across the school. I know teachers across the school will be proud of how far you have come.
