Whole School Transition - September 2025

This page has been created so that resources to help your child with their transition to their new class are easily accessible.

What are Transition Days?

Transition days provide your child with an opportunity to learn more about their new class environment, new teachers and new routines.

The idea of moving to a new class can be a little worrying for lots of children, and transition days are a great way of making our children feel more comfortable and informed about the whole process.

Our Transition Days

Children in current Years R to 5 will visit their new classes on:

Thursday 10th July and Friday 11th July

Drop-off:

They will need to be dropped off to their new classroom in the morning - class bird names will remain in the same place.

  • For anyone dropping off to Eagles, please drop off at Kestrels Classroom.

Please collect your children from their new classrooms at pick-up time at 3:20pm.

Year Group Transition Booklets

The following booklets have been made for you to share with your child.  They contain pictures of your child's new teachers, their new classrooms and some key information about their new year group.

Transition Social Story

The following is a Social Story about your child's transition.  This may be useful to read with them and can be read as many times as needed.  Your child may like to hear this read to them the evening before our transition days and on the morning of the transition days.
